Your place in the programme
These briefs explain how each contribution can support CJE’s overall success. They are invitations to explore an agreed role, not automatic appointments or editorial grants.
Everyone is welcome to propose a contribution. Only a representative explicitly approved by the Merchant may control wording and imagery in an assigned CJE section. An enquiry, stakeholder role or expression of interest gives no editorial access. CJE retains publication control; permissions for official statements, brands and imagery still apply.
Caribbean artists creating together in Dominica is the story; coverage remains an independent editorial decision.
Potential editorial angles
- Cross-island collaboration resulting in a finished song or performance.
- The relationship between music, Caribbean identity and the Nature Isle.
- An artist’s live craft and professional development, beyond AI-generated promotion.
- Transparent cultural-enterprise participation and local supplier opportunities.
- Beneficiary-approved community work, reported without exploiting vulnerable people.
Available and proposed material
Use approved artist EPKs, confirmed schedules, named interview contacts and rights-cleared press images or excerpts. The literature directory is a starting resource, not blanket permission to reuse every recording. An approved media pack and access schedule will be issued when the programme is confirmed.
Access conditions
Agree accreditation, interview availability, filming locations, credit lines, embargoes and permitted uses. Protect artist privacy, reviewer discussions, accommodation addresses and vulnerable beneficiaries. Public programme literature does not itself confer backstage or private-record access.
Paid and earned activity
Disclose sponsored or paid placements clearly. An airtime purchase is not independent press coverage. No promised article, guaranteed interview, audience total or editorial endorsement is part of an unconfirmed participant package.
